Beach Activities
There are a lot of activities to do on the beach:
-Chilling on the beach
People who like to laze about on a beach can go to Ain el Sokhna or the North Coast.
Ain el Sokhna is calm with almost no waves = a good spot for small kids to play.
The North Coast is a perfect place for tanning, swimming and just lazing around!
- wind surfing
Places to go wind surfing are: Dahab, Marsa Alam, El Gouna and Ras Sidr. The 2 beaches
specializing in sports in El Gouna are: Zeytuna and Mangroovy.
-waterskiing
Places to go for waterskiing are: Marina (The North Coast), Ain el Sokhna and El
Gouna. El Gouna has the only professional water-ski school in Egypt which has programs
for beginners.
-Scuba diving
Places to go scuba diving are: Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Dahab and
Taba.
-Glass Bottom Boat
You can rent glass bottom boats and see the beautiful underwater world without snorkeling
or diving. It’s a great alternative to snorkeling –especially for people who do
not like to swim. Most hotels in Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, Gouna and Sinai offer
trips on these boats.
-Snorkeling
Snorkeling is a fun way to see the beautiful aquatic life of the Red Sea. You can
use your own mask or rent them at a beach.
-Banana Boat
Banana boating is comparatively safer when compared to water skiing or surfing,
but is thrilling all the same. You can book them at a hotel or beach center.
-Parasailing
Parasailing is available at: Sharm el Sheikh, Marina (North Coast), Hurghada and
El Gouna. When you are tired, you can go parasailing. Basically, you are attached
to a parachute, and a speed boat drags the parachute (plus you) and you can just
sit, relax and get a great view.
